Peter Molyneaux’s new take on the god game, Godus, the spiritual successor to Populous, will soon be hitting beta stage, and gamers will be able to play it through Steam Early Access on the 13th September 2013.
In announcing the impending availability of GODUS through Steam Early Access, Peter Molyneux, 22cans Creative Director said “I am proud and delighted that the beta version GODUS will be available for download on 13th September 2013. For a long time I’ve been excited with how the game is evolving, I already feel there is nothing in the world like GODUS. This is the type of game I have dreamt of making since first getting into the industry; having people play the beta and give us valuable feedback while doing so, makes that dream a reality.”
Godus blends the power, growth and scope of Populous with the detailed construction and multiplayer excitement of Dungeon Keeper and the intuitive interface and technical innovation of Black & White. Half a living sandbox world, and half a strategy game, players can choose to explore the power of the almighty however they wish. Whether it’s granting the power of life and blossoming the world around your believers, or using godly powers to wreak havoc via natural disasters to defeat the armies of other gods.
