Gaijin Entertainment today announced the development of the mobile version of its highly explosive War Thunder, its WWII combat MMO whch has attracted more than 1.5 million players worldwide. Specifically built for smartphones and tablets, the mobile version of War Thunder promises to deliver console-like graphics, breathtaking aerial action and a unique game mode not found in the PC version: Dogfight.
CEO of Gaijin Entertainment Anton Yudintsev comments on War Thunder’s prospects for mobile devices: “We’re constantly striving to surprise our audience. The mobile version of War Thunder gives a new, marvelous gaming experience for both our existing fans and for newcomers.”
Pavel Kulikov, the Executive Producer of War Thunder reveals some details of the project: “In our PC version of the game we progressively implemented ‘all-vs-all’ gaming modes, where players can pilot air forces, ground forces and naval units fighting simultaneously on the same battlefield. We purposely introduced combat aircraft first, and then added tanks and warships to create a full scale Word War II theater of war. War Thunder mobile will be developed in a same fashion – first, we’ll give you WWII fighters and bombers, then tanks and naval units.”
The development of the mobile version of War Thunder is led by the mobile games department of Gaijin Entertainment which has received numerous awards for best-selling titles such as Modern Conflict 1-2, Braveheart, Fantasy Conflict and Run’n’Gun.
