Bethesda Softworks just announced The Evil Within, a survival horror game developed at Tango Gameworks under the direction of renowned game designer and studio head, Shinji Mikami, who is known as the father of the survival horror genre and creator of the Resident Evil series.
“We’re incredibly proud to announce The Evil Within,” said Mikami. “My team and I are committed to creating an exciting new franchise, providing fans the perfect blend of horror and action.”
What we currently know for the The Evil Within that it will feature “highly-crafted environments, horrifying anxiety, and an intricate story weave together to create an immersive world that will bring players to the height of tension”.
The Evil Within is in development for X360, PS3 and PC, as well as next generation consoles, and is slated for release in 2014.
