Finland-based cooperative Dreamloop Games/Vasara Entertainment’s Stardust Galaxy Warriors has launched on Steam to positive reviews. The side-scrolling, atmospheric bullethell/shoot-’em-up launched recently and has claimed user accolades via Steam reviews for its “incredible soundtrack”, and “fantastic visuals”.
Stardust Galaxy Warriors features 3 game modes, each filled with immediately accessible fun: a 30-stage campaign (swarming with hellish clouds of unique enemies and bosses), Gauntlet Mode (an endless high-score race), and Challenge Mode, where players can play with unique and challenging rulesets for added difficulty. All modes support a fast-paced couch co-op option (with extensive controller support) for up to 4 players.
In-game, your mechs have a customizable weapon and upgrade system, and audiovisual excellence with music, sound, animations, and visual effects built together from the ground up to perfectly enhance the frenzied, bullethell atmosphere.
Stardust Galaxy Warriors was designed to bring players back in touch with the shoot-’em-ups (SHMUPs) of old, while bringing a fun experience to users who want to kick back on the couch with friends to laugh and play. It was also designed to bring a uniquely otaku/Mech twist (with a fair dose of tongue-in-cheek cheesiness) to the genre.
“Our goal from the beginning was to bring players a fast-paced, fun, game that they can immediately jump into and play with their friends. I think we’ve succeeded,” said Dreamloop-Vasara co-founder, Teemu Norvasto.
Stardust Galaxy Warriors is now available for Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms on Steam for $9.99/€9.99 .
