Home-grown game developer Happy Labs is proud to present Happy Tennis, a casual multiplayer party game built exclusively for Apple TV. The region’s first motion-sensing game designed for Apple TV, the game will be launching on the tvOS App Store for SGD 6.98 (USD 4.99) in selected Asian regions. Apple TV users in Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korean, Malaysia, Taiwan and Vietnam can download the game today, right in time for this Lunar New Year. The game will subsequently launch in all other countries on 11 February 2016.
Happy Labs is a prolific Singapore-based independent game developer who has launched 12 mobile game apps since their introduction of their first game, Toy Craft in 2013. They have since introduced popular games including Hotel Story, Happy Mall Story and Happy Pet Story.
Happy Labs’ founder, Jeffrey Chee, said, “With Apple TV being a relatively young platform for games, there is still potential for the market to grow as people discover Apple TV’s potential as an all-encompassing entertainment media hub. We see ourselves as pioneers in this field, and are amongst the first locally and in Asia to explore its potential.”
Utilizing the accelerometer capabilities of the latest Apple TV remote, players are able to trigger moves such as volleys, smashes, dashes and ace services based on the timing of their swings. Players can also choose from eight adorable avatars to step on the court in a doubles tennis match, guaranteed to provide endless hours of dynamic gameplay and wholesome fun with friends and family.
Designed for single or multiplayer play supporting up to four players, users can connect multiple Apple mobile devices such as their iPhones or iPods to the same Wi-Fi connection to join in the game.
