Dennaton Games and publisher Devolver Digital have revealed that their ’80s inspired top-down shooter Hotline Miami is now available for purchase on a variety of digital download retailers for $9.99.
“Development has been both exciting and challenging but we can’t be more thrilled to finally release Hotline Miami,” said developer Jonatan Söderström. “Dennis and I are incredibly proud of the game and are looking forward to people’s reactions to the story and questions posted to the player.”
“Hotline Miami has machine guns, expensive drugs, monster trucks, tiger fur rugs, and an attractive you blonde hungover on your couch,” said Devolver Digital CFO Fork Parker. “It’s like they took my weekends and made a video game.”
Hotline Miami takes place in an 1980s underground Miami where bizarre messages on your answering machine seem to be urging you to commit terrible acts of violence. The games is brutal enough and you must make your way through impossible situations. There will be over 20 multi-screen levels with 35 unique weapons and 25 game-altering masks to collect in what seems to be one of the darkest and most unusual independent games on the scene
You can get Hotline Miami from Steam, GOG, Gamersgate, and Getgames.
